Domestic Abuse Awareness and Recovery

Welcome to WE:ARE Women’s Empowerment And Recovery Educators, we deliver a range of awareness, empowerment and parenting programmes for women aged 16+ affected by domestic abuse alongside a range of workshops and activities.

For legal advice please contact NCDV, FLOWS or Support Through Court. For any other support please see here.

Due to COVID-19 our base is temporary closed but we have adapted our way of working and are now delivering programmes remotely through Zoom.

Domestic Abuse Awareness and Empowerment Programmes

We deliver a pathway of domestic abuse programmes that provide the knowledge women need to process, heal and move forward. These are all run in groups as it enables camaraderie and shows that you are not alone on your journey. Abuse is isolating, and as humans we need connection and relationships to heal.

You and Me, Mum helps you understand how domestic violence affects you as a parent and how it affects your children, and how you can rebuild the relationship.

Thank you for supporting our charity.

Every penny raised goes towards helping women and children rise, reclaim and recover.

It enables us to buy and post the books and journals which include all the information provided throughout the programmes. These become ongoing resources for participants after the courses have finished.

WE:ARE’s approach ensures that you do not feel that it is your fault and they provide a safe environment for you to start the healing process and come to terms with what we’ve been through.
